Frequently Asked Questions

Commonly Asked

Choosing the right pathogen control and disinfecting system for your facilities is important. Here are some commonly asked questions we receive at FogEz to better serve you in the decision process.

What is dry fog?

Dry fog is a very fine fog with a uniform mean droplet diameter of 10 µm or less.

2

What does “emerging pathogen approved” mean?

The EPA defines a category of products to be emerging pathogen approved if:
a. Products that have demonstrated efficacy against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19;

b. Products that have demonstrated efficacy against a different human coronavirus similar to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19); and

c. Products that) EPA has approved for use against select pathogens that are harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), such as norovirus or mycobacterium tuberculosis.

3

What is the preferred chemical for use with Fog-Ez System?

Fog-Ez was designed to work with many chemicals that are classified by the EPA as “emerging pathogen approved” to inactivate viruses, including norovirus, legionnaires, influenza and the Coronavirus. However, for customers without a chemical preference, Fog-Ez has aligned with distributors whose products fall under EPA’s “List N” of Doxyklor (CLO2) and Hypochlorus Acid (HOCl).

4

What is Pathogen Effective Kill Time?

Minimum dwell time exposure required for pathogen inactivation.

5

Duration of Fogging per treatment?

Once sufficient fog has filled a space 100% the pathogen effective kill time ranges between 2-10min dependent upon chemical used.

6

How does the scheduling feature work?

The schedule follows a calendar format allowing the user to set time frames of operation.

7

How is the programming done?

Fog-Ez technicians gather required information from the intake form that is then programmed to meet your schedule requirements.

8

Does the system allow for schedule changes?

Yes.

9

What space is required for the installation?

A small, designated space for chemical container and operating control cabinet.

10

How long is the installation process?

Our technicians will evaluate required timeframe based on the size of your facility. Example a 1000-3000sq ft facility can be installed in 1 day.
